Rosalyra String Quartet
The Rosalyra String Quartet was formed in 1988 of four internationally acclaimed string players. The members have joined to form one of the most exciting new ensembles in the United States. They captured the Dayton's First Prize at the St. Cloud Chamber Music Society's International Competition for String Quartets in April of 1989, followed by the top prize for a string quartet at the 1990 Fischoff Competition, and they were also prize winners in the 1991 Glory of Mozart International Chamber Music Competition in Canada.
The ensemble has performed on Chicago's prestigious Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series and was selected by Minnesota Public Radio to perform the Premiere concert of their "Lunds Presents" series, which airs weekly in seven states. The Rosalyra String Quartet has also served as Quartet in Residence at the Pensacola Summer Music Festival in Florida.
