As in much of my own music, I have made other versions of movements from my organ works that are particularly audience friendly. The Fanfare and Fugue in D Major is transcribed from piano four hands in a series of 'Great Peacemakers', this one dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Fantasia in E Major is reset for violin and piano forming the first movement of one of three violin sonatas. The fugue in F Major is the last movement of my piano trio.

The Prelude and Fugue in G Major is set as the first two move4ments of a sonata for violin and piano, using Tarot card names. Gergely Ittzés commissioned and recorded the flute version of Prelude and Fugue in A Major. Stephan Tharp commissioned the Toccata and Fugue in Bb on the B-A-C-H theme, played here piano four hands, this one in honor of peacemaker Abe Lincoln.

In the big Symphony #2, the slow movement is actually a transcription of the slow movement of Concerto for Viola and Strings, and the slow movement of Symphony #3 is transcribed for piano four hands in honor of peacemaker Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

The Oedipus Rex Fantasia is based almost entirely on the Stravinsky original in a kind of free transcription-fantasia. - Anthony Newman
