With its 3rd CD, the Canadian Guitar Quartet has brought together a collection of pieces for guitar quartet that are all adapted from orchestral sources. Three new transcriptions of well-known works from the standard symphonic repertoire are presented alongside two original compositions.

Hoe-Down and the Concerto Épisodique were both conceived orchestrally, though for an orchestra consisting of four guitars. They were first performed as quartets, then later re-tailored and performed as concertos for guitar quartet and orchestra.
